Getting outside with your kids is a blast in Waconia.

  • Unique to Waconia is the Carlson’s Llovable LLamas farm. Rick Carlson and his llamas are a beloved family attraction and a bonafide big kid – little kid favorite. There are no set farm hours so it is best to call ahead to schedule a farm visit.
  • The Lake Waconia Regional Park beach is a family-friendly destination. Amenities and nearby amenities include; large shade umbrellas, picnic tables, grills, dressing rooms and restrooms. A Picnic Shelter that overlooks the lake is available to reserve for parties and special events.
  • Deardorff Orchard has over 3,000 apple trees made up of more than ten tasty varieties including Honeycrisp and Sweet Tango. SEASONAL VENUE Check Deardorff’s website for days/times: Apple picking season at the orchard is spectacular and includes tractor-pulled wagons, horses, rabbits, and miniature goats and the sales barn.
