The Power of Community

As we step into 2026, I’m filled with excitement about what lies ahead for our Chamber and community. Our greatest strengths are the people here, the businesses, and the partnerships we create.

In times when headlines from Minnesota feel heavy, our community becomes even more vital. The connections we build with one another keep us grounded: the relationships made over coffee, the partnerships formed at Chamber events, the way we show up for each other.

Honoring Our Trailblazers

Our community was shaped by people who looked ahead. Settlers established roots here, and entrepreneurs invested and built businesses. We’re continuing that work.

The Chamber presidents who came before me laid a foundation of excellence and community commitment that guides our work today.

This year, as we celebrate being named Minnesota Retail Community of the Year for 2025-2026, we honor legacy and continue to write the next chapter together.

Our Community Connection

Community is the word I hear most often when people describe why they choose to live, work, and invest here. We’ve created a special kind of community dedicated to connecting people and building the relationships where opportunity thrives. From our historic Nickle Dickle Day celebration to the Community Expo, we’re constantly creating spaces where relationships and opportunities emerge.

The Year Ahead

With over 300 members strong, our Chamber continues to expand its reach and influence. We’re kicking off 2026 with events designed to educate and bring us together:

Celebrating You

This community happens because of you. The business owners working together and investing in our downtown. The managers building local teams. The entrepreneurs planting roots here. The members who show up year after year. You’re the ones creating opportunity, mentoring what comes next, and shaping what this community becomes.

Be a Part of What’s Next

As we enter our membership renewal season, I invite you to recommit to being part of something bigger. Your Chamber membership is an investment in a network that strengthens your voice and connects you to resources that create growth. The programs we offer are important, but what makes them work is each other.

The best is ahead, and we’re excited to build it with you.

Here’s to 2026! A year of connecting, supporting, and growing our community.

– Christine
